Draft Recap by Joe 2

Hello to all new and veterans of Dynasty, for my first installment for Fantasy Land I will give a brief break down of the draft, stating best pick, worst pick, and surprise, some will have a brief explanation of why I picked them. I will do up to round 12. 

Let’s start with something first, the worst pick of the draft. Many were vocal after the conclusion of the draft about what they felt was the worst pick of the draft, that being Baker Mayfield with the second pick in the 3rd round. Much better players could have been taken; such as, Joe Burrow, CEH, Daniel Jones, Davante Adams, I can go on but you get the point. Lets pump the breaks here a bit, this was not the worst pick of the draft and not even close. Worst pick of the draft happened in round 1 Pick 10. Joe Mixon. You cannot convivence me otherwise. Yes I know Wentz also went right after him, so it could of went either or, but for my money with back to back picks much better options were on the board and I’m focusing on round 1. At the point much better options were on the board, Russell Wilson, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Evans, Cook, Kamara, Chubb, Godwin, if you want to give the extra bump to QB’s Allen. I would take all those players over Mixon. Last year was Mixon’s best season and only finished as RB 13. A lot was left on the table here with that pick. Mixon should have fell around the 4-5th round range where guys like Chubb, Evans, Moore, Ju-Ju, Miles were taken. Mixon is not a 1st round talent in a 2 SF league. He’s not even a second round talent in this leagues setting. 

Best pick for my money in this draft was in round 3, Adams, Godwin, CEH, Burrow, Sanders a lot of good names here. But for my money the best pick was George Kittle. Number 1 TE in the game, main focus of a offense that’s still getting better, Enjoy going in to each week with the position advantage here, it will be big.  Kittle in my opinion was even worthy of a 2nd round pick, so good job scooping him up.

Worst Woods (better dynasty WR’s to choose from)

Surprise Swift (Hit or miss here)

Best Jeudy (great time too take him here)

Worst Hollywood Brown (up side pick, I would have rather have Diggs or Allen here)

Surprise  Brady ( Give me Jimmy G here instead)

Best Hunt (love the value here)

Worst Parker Or Green (could not make up my mind, would rather gamble with a rookie here)
